Xerox Releases New Color Laser Printers

A few days ago Xerox Corp announced the launch of two new Xerox Phaser printers and one Xerox WorkCentre printer. These three printers are the latest additions to the growing line of Xerox printers. In October of 2010, Xerox launched two lines of solid ink printers the ColorQube 8570 and the ColorQube 8870.

The Xerox Phaser 6010/N is a compact color laser printer ideal for the home office or for a business professional. Priced under $300, the Phaser 6010/N combines high quality (600 x 600 dpi x 4) with affordability. While it isn’t the fastest color laser printer on the market (12 ppm for color / 15 ppm for monochrome), the fact that it is small enough to fit on a desktop and capable of handling a strong monthly duty cycle (30,000 pages), we think this is an excellent option.

If your small business or workgroup is searching for a new color laser printer, then you may want to consider the brand new Xerox Phaser 6500/N or 6500/DN. These two Xerox Phaser printers can provide your office with high quality prints, lightning fast speeds (24 ppm for both color and B&W prints) and reliability (40,000 pages / month duty cycle).  The only difference between the Phaser 6500N and the Phaser 6500DN is that the 6500DN has auto-duplexing standard (and an MSRP price tag increase of approximately $100).

Lastly, if your office requires a top of the line multifunction color laser printer, then the Xerox WorkCentre 6505/N or 6505/DN was designed for you. This workhorse printer has the ability to print, copy, fax, scan and email. With the same specs as the Phaser 6500 series (24 ppm for color & B&W, 600 x 600 dpi x 4 resolution, 40,000 pages / month duty cycle), printer performance shouldn’t be a question. Some of this printer’s other nice features include: 2-sided copying and edge erasing, fax forwarding & secure faxing, scan to USB / scan to email, and auto-duplexing (standard with the WorkCentre 6505/DN).

The Supplies Guys will be selling printer supplies to these Xerox printers shortly,  so be sure to check back soon! In the meantime, if you want to learn more about the new line of Xerox printers, check out the three links below!

New Xerox ColorQube 8570 / 8870 Printers

If you love Xerox printers as much as we do then this is the news you’ve been waiting to hear! Xerox Corporation is adding two new ColorQube solid ink printers to its line-up! I know you are dying to hear about the specifics, so lets not jump to it.

Introducing (drum roll please)…

The Xerox ColorQube 8570N / 8570DN / 8570DT

If you are considering updating your office’s printer, now is the time because this printer sounds impressive. The ColorQube 8570 series is packed with environmentally friendly features. These printers use Intelligent Ready technology to optimize its own energy usage by analyzing your printing patterns in order to conserve power. Pretty smart, eh? Then there is the EarthSmart print-driver which allow users to choose the “greenest” print settings and the ColorQube 8570 DN / DT printers models are ENERGY STAR qualified.

So it is great for the environment but what about performance? Well the ColorQube 8570 series is packed with performance enhancers (and not the illegal kind used by numerous professional athletes) that you will enjoy day in and day out. If speed is your thing, then how does 40 ppm sound for both black & white and color prints? The ColorQube 8570 is powered by a 1 GHz processor and had 512 MB of memory standard (expandable to 2 GB).  Hate wasting time waiting for your printer to warm up? Well that isn’t an issue with the Color Qube 8570 as its  “first page out time” can be as quick as 5 seconds! This printer can handle up to 85,000 image per month and has a standard sheet capacity of 625 sheets (upgradable to 1,675).

The quality sounds to be equally as impressive given that the series uses PANTONE solid ink technology to deliver high quality color prints. By now you should know the benefits of solid ink but if you don’t then we’ll summarize; vibrant color, longer shelf life and sharp blacks. Combine the 2400 FinePoint print resolution (for clarity) with the True Adobe PostScript 3 print languages (print accuracy) and you’ve got a recipe for printer success. There are also several cool new features such as Color By Words which allows you to select color modifications from a drop-down list and GreenPrint software that allows users to print only the pages they truly need, which helps reduce wasted paper and ink supplies.

You can now purchase Xerox ColorCube 8570 ink and printer supplies in our store. Our customer service representatives are standing by (1.888.722.0390) if you have any further questions about the printer or its consumables.

The Xerox ColorQube 8870DN Solid Ink Printer

If your small business or office is known to visit the printer multiple times per day or even per hour then you might want to forgo the ColorQube 8570 series and move up to the Color Qube 8870 series. The primary difference between these two printer series is the output capabilities. The ColorQube 8870DN can handle a 120,000 image / month duty cycle compared to the 85,000 image per month capacity of the 8570 printers. So if you are printing four or more reams of paper per month, the ColorQube 8870 is the printer for you. Also two-sided printing is a standard option for this printer. Similar to the Xerox 8570 series, you’re costs will decrease significantly as your shipping costs on printer supplies are reduced (solid ink sticks are smaller and cost less to ship) and the two-sided printing means you can avoid paper waste. Did I mention how environmentally friendly this printer is? By using the ColorQube 8870DN printer you’ll reduce your carbon footprint by 30% and produce up to 90% less waste. Your ColorQube 8870 is also ENERGY STAR qualified.

Our store is now carrying the full line of Xerox ColorQube 8870 ink supplies. Be sure to contact a customer service representative (1.888.722.0390) if you have any questions about the printer or its consumables.

Xerox Solid Ink Sticks

If you aren’t familiar with solid ink technology, here is a quick recap. Solid ink produces incredible color print quality, it is easy to use, cost-effective, and is very good for the environment. The first solid ink printer was introduced in 1991 and won several awards. A solid ink printer uses solid sticks (or blocks) of no-mess, non-toxic ink instead of toner or inkjet cartridges. The Supplies Guys carry the complete line of Xerox Solid Ink Sticks as well as a high quality compatible solid ink alternative.
