Xerox 8570 Printer Review
The Xerox 8570 is a solid ink color printer ideal for a medium sized office that needs a compact but capable printer. The Xerox 8570 boasts a monthly duty cycle of as much as 85,000 pages, with a recommended monthly volume of up to 8000 pages. Despite its ability to print a high number of pages each month, the Xerox 8570 only measures 16 inches wide, 20.5 inches deep, and 14.5 inches high.
For connectivity, the Xerox 8570 needs only a high speed USB cable, as well as a wired Ethernet connection to connect to a work group. The USB cable for this printer can be purchased from any computer or office supply retailer. The Xerox 8570 is compatible with many major operating systems in use today, including Windows 2003, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows 2008, Mac OS X 10.5 and higher, Linux, and SunSoft Solaris.
For printing in black and white and full color, the Xerox 8570 uses four Xerox solid ink sticks. These Xerox 8570 ink sticks come in black, magenta, cyan, and yellow, and provide a more even and consistent color throughout the life of the cartridge than traditional toner. These Xerox ink sticks are designed to produce a high number of pages, while still produce high quality prints. The Xerox 8570 can support a maximum page capacity of 2200 sheets, and print at a rate of 40 pages per minute for black and white and full color. The first time out speed of the Xerox 8570 is a little as 5 seconds, so your prints start and finish quickly.
The Xerox 8570 is supported by a 1GHz processor, and comes with 512 MB of memory installed. This memory can be upgraded to as much as 2 GB. Automatic duplexing is optional on the Xerox 8570.
