The Brother 9045CDN is a color laser printer ideal for a medium sized office or business that needs a compact printer that can handle the workload of a busy office. The monthly duty cycle of this printer is as much as 35,000 pages with a recommended print volume of 500 to 3000 pages. Despite its capacity to handle a heavy workload, this printer measures only 20.9 inches wide, 21 inches deep, and 20.5 inches high. The compact size of this printer makes it easy to fit into a small office or on a desk without sacrificing on speed or quality.
The Brother 9045CDN utilizes a high speed USB cable for connectivity. This cable can be purchased from any office supply or computer supply retailer. For connectivity to a network or workgroup, the Brother 9045CDN connects with a wired Ethernet connection. This printer is compatible with many major operating systems in use today, including Windows 2000/XP, Windows 2003, Windows 7, and Mac OS X 10.2.4 and higher.
Four Brother 9045CDN toner cartridges come included with this printer. The Brother 9045CDN toner cartridges that come with this printer come in four colors, black, yellow, cyan, and magenta, and each have a high page capacity while still printing in high quality. The black Brother 9045CDN toner cartridge that comes with this printer can print up to 2500 pages before needing to be replaced, making it easy to print large jobs with worrying about replacing the toner. The magenta, cyan, and yellow Brother 9045CDN toner cartridges that come with this printer can each print a maximum of 1500 pages for a single cartridge. The Brother 9045CDN prints at a rate of 21 pages per minute whether printing in black and white or in full color. The first page out time for the Brother 9045CDN is 16 seconds for monochrome prints, and 17 seconds for full color prints.
The Brother 9045CDN is powered by a 300 MHz processer and prints with a resolution 2400 dpi by 600 dpi whether printing in monochrome or full color. This printer comes with 128 MB of memory installed. This memory cannot be upgraded. This printer is capable of handling a variety of print media, including recycled paper, envelopes, and labels.
