The Konica 7450 is a color laser printer well suited for a medium sized office that needs a compact, reliable laser printer that can easily handle the workload of a busy office. The Konica 7450 has a monthly duty cycle of as much as 120,000 pages, making it reliable enough to easily serve the needs of a medium sized office, while still only measuring 25.5 inches wide, 23.6 inches deep, and 18.7 inches tall.
This printer connects with a high speed USB cable that can be purchased from any office or computer supply retailer. The Konica 7450 is compatible with many major operating systems, including Windows Vista, Windows 2003/XP/2000, Windows NT 4.0, Windows ME/98, Mac OS X 10.2 and higher, Mac OS 9, and Linux Red Hat.
The Konica 7450 ships with four Konica Minolta 7450 toner cartridges, one each in yellow, cyan, magenta, and black. The starter cartridges that ship with this printer each have a page yield of up to 3000 pages before needing to be replaced. Konica also offers higher capacity toner cartridge that are compatible with the Konica 7450. These higher capacity Konica Minolta 7450 toner cartridges for this printer are each capable of printing up to 12,000 pages for the yellow, magenta, and cyan toner cartridges, and up to 15,000 pages for the black toner cartridges. The standard page capacity of the Konica 7450 is 350 sheets, split between a 250 sheet tray and a 100 page document feeder. For users that need a higher page capacity, additional 500 sheet trays are available. Up to three 500 sheet trays can be added to the Konica 7450. The average print speed of the Konica 7450 is up to 24 pages per minute for both black and white and color prints, with a first page out time of only 8.2 seconds for black and white, and 11.4 seconds for color.
The standard memory that ships with the Konica 7450 is 256 MB, with the option to upgrade the memory to as much as 1024 MB. The Konica 7450 prints with a resolution of 9000 dpi by 600 dpi, and is powered by a 733 MHz processor. Automatic duplex printing is available as an option on the Konica 7450.
