Phaser 8500 Toner? Or is it Phaser 8500 Ink?

There’s confusion among some people as to the classification of Xerox’s unique “solid ink” printer line, namely the Phaser 8500. Are they inkjet printers? Are they laser printers? However, Xerox has dubbed what would normally be “phaser 8500 toner” solid ink, so the officially correct name is Phaser 8500 ink. And so arises a printer paradox: a laser printer that uses ink.
