The Xerox Phaser 6010 is a compact, color, desktop printer that can meet the day-to-day operational needs of a small business or team. The printer is an affordable option for businesses on a budget, which is not willing to compromise on quality. However, due to its limited expandable features, we do not recommend the Phaser 6010Nfor businesses that foresee significant future growth or an increase in printing demand. The Xerox Phaser 6010 also displays a number of eco-friendly features for the environmentally conscious office, or those hoping to reduce cost through reduced energy consumption. This printer has a duty cycle of 30,000 pages per month.
The latest Xerox Phaser printer features USB and network connectivity. The setup process for the printer is simple. Plug in the unit, install the disk and you will be all set to print within minutes. After initial setup, you can check the status of consumables, as well as check the printer for any maintenance issues remotely through the CentreWare IS internal web server system. The Xerox Phaser 6010N comes equipped with pre-loaded toner cartridges. Pre-loaded cartridges will yield approximately 500 pages. Replacement cartridges average 1,000 pages for color toner cartridges and 2,000 pages for black Phaser 6010 toner cartridges. These cartridges are slim, and uniquely designed to be easy to load. They also come with less packaging, which is environmentally friendly, and helpful for operations with little storage space.
The Xerox Phaser 6010 produces color documents at 12 pages per minute and monochrome documents at a speedy 15 pages per minute, which is faster than most comparable printers are. The first-page-out-time is approximately 17 seconds for color documents, and 14 seconds for monochrome documents. In addition to superior speed, the printer provides excellent print quality. The printer’s 600 dpi x 600 dpi resolution helps produce documents that are suitable for your most important clients. The printer’s high resolution is coupled with Xerox’s EA Eco toner image enhancement technology to produce vibrant color documents, and crisp, clear monochrome documents throughout the life of the printer. The printer has a media capacity of 150 sheets.
The Phaser 6010N features a powerful 384 MHz processor, and comes equipped with 128 MB of installed memory. However, you cannot expand the memory capacity. The Xerox 6010 is Energy Star qualified, which means you will consume less energy, which will save you money over the life of the printer. Other notable print features include PANTONE Color approved solid-color simulations, watermarks, booklet printing, poster printing, N-up, custom page sizes, fit to page, scaling, built-in support links, black and white only print mode, draft mode, skip blank pages and collation.
