The HP 8000 is a color inkjet printer designed for a small office or single user. Measuring only 19.4 inches wide, 18.9 inches deep, and 7.1 inches high and weighing only 17.2 pounds, the HP 8000 is easy to fit into an office of any size. The HP 8000 boasts a monthly duty cycle of as much as 15,000 pages, making it easily capable of meeting the needs of a small office or single user.
The HP 8000 utilizes a wired Ethernet connection for connectivity to a workgroup, as well as high speed USB cable. The USB cable for this printer can be purchased from any computer supply retailer. The HP 8000 is compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Mac OS X 10.5.
For printing in black and white and full color, the HP 8000 uses four HP toner cartridges. These HP 8000 toner cartridges come in black, magenta, cyan, and yellow, and are designed to produce a high number of pages, while still maintain exceptional print quality. The print speed of the HP 8000 is 35 pages per minute for black pages, and 34 pages per minute for color prints at draft quality. The HP 8000 prints with a resolution of 1200 dpi for black and white, and 4800 dpi by 1200 dpi for color. The total media capacity of the HP 8000 is 500 sheets.
The HP 8000 is powered by a 384 MHz processor, and comes with 32 MB of memory installed. This printer is energy star qualified.
