The Xerox Phaser 7700 is a tabloid color laser printer that is meant for small to medium workgroups that have a high volume of prints. With a 100,000 page per month duty cycle, this machine is built to handle multiple users who have lot to print.

Using this printer is a snap and so is replacing the supplies. There are several items you will need to keep track of replacing. First you have the Xerox toner, which come in Cyan (016-1944-00), Magenta (016-1945-00), Yellow (016-1946-00) and Black (016-1947-00). We always recommend using high-capacity cartridges (codes listed above) that yield 10,000-12,000 pages because you almost always get more product to the dollar. You will also need to replace the Fuser (220V, 016-1888-00), Waste Toner Cartridge (016-1891-00) and Staple Pack (3 refills x 5000 staples, 016-1971-00)

As far as quality goes, the Phaser 7700 boasts amazing color and crisp text. However, you will with only 1200 dots-per-inch your resolution sits about middle of the road. Similar printers can more than double the dpi of this printer. Nevertheless, the 7700 does have the ability to fine-tune your images with personal settings. Using color controls, the Xerox 770 allows you to make individual print specific adjustments according to standard output devices and different types of media. Speed is below average and is a bit slow for a Xerox Phaser as well. At only 22 pages per minute you might spend more time than you like waiting for your prints to finish. Paper capacity is excellent when it comes to this machine. Standard capacity is 650 sheets, but is upgradable to an extremely reasonable 2,150 pages.

This machine has three models available, the 7700DN, 7700GX, and 7700DX, the difference between the models is the amount of RAM (128/512), paper capacity (650/2150) and productivity features that come standard with the Phaser. A great feature of the Phaser 7700 is the fact that despite which model you choose, automatic two-sided printing is standard. This saves your business a lot of time and money by eliminating human error and reduces your paper usage by 50%. The Xerox 7700 runs on a strong 500 MHz processor as well.
